HR SpecialistProvide support for daily human resource operations. Handle routine HR inquiries and provide responsive and knowledgeable assistance to employees. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, proficiency in keyboarding and file maintenance, ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing, basic math skills, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to interpret policies and communicate procedures clearly, and effective communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of 2 years of clerical experience is required.Major responsibilities and duties include handling routine HR inquiries, maintaining HR information database, maintaining position control system, receiving and processing applications, preparing and distributing job vacancy announcements and advertisements, preparing correspondence, forms, and reports, answering and responding to incoming calls, greeting visitors, assisting with the preparation and distribution of employment contracts, maintaining confidentiality, and following district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Other duties as assigned.
