Position: Accounting Associate

Position Summary: The Accounting Associate plays a key role in assisting the Staff Accountant with the administrative management of the finances for a non-profit organization Partners® manages.  The Accounting Associate will work closely with the Staff Accountant, the Association's CEO, Treasurer and Finance Division, as well as outside auditors and other key staff working on the non-profit account. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to assisting the Staff Accountant with, creating, analyzing and reporting on financials, managing deposits and cash flow, the accounts payable and receivables, general ledger entries, invoicing, assisting with budget development, entry and monitoring.  The Accounting Associate must be detail oriented, maintain organized files and work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines.  The Accounting Associate will have access to the confidential financial information for the association, so they must be able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.

• Maintaining Accurate Date and Reporting
• Assist with Budget Development
• Managing A/P
• Managing A/R
• Assist with Taxes
• Customer Service/Liaison on Accounts

Necessary Skills:

• Previous book keeping experience required, with nonprofit accounting a plus.
• Proficiency required with Microsoft Office365, QuickBooks, Word and Excel. Database software experience a plus.
• Full charge bookkeeping experience helpful with duties ranging from AP/AR, budgeting creation/reporting/monitoring, regular financial creation and reporting, journal entries and general ledger experience and event registration/transaction management a plus.
• Must be able to deal with highly educated professional people.  Previous experience working in a professional environment a plus.  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be an honest, ethical person with high performance standards.  Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Pays attention to detail, and accuracy, provides consistent follow through,  works well with others is a self starter and is pleasant and optimistic.
