Database Developer

StraitSys Inc Regular Primary Function StraitSys is seeking a skilled Database Developer who will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and security of databases across multiple networks. Ensures databases are functioning efficiently while maintaining accurate, accessible, and secure data. Works closely with the System Architect/Engineer and/or Technical Subject Matter Expert to design, implement, modify, and maintain database infrastructure to meet databasing needs. This role will also be responsible for creating and modifying Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines in support of software development, data modeling and schema design. Essential Duties Experience as a database administrator responsible for the deployment and management of efficient database operations and processes. Responsible for performing database administration tasks, backups, and recoveries. Comfortable working with users to resolve database questions or issues Extensive experience with SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS) like MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle Proficiency in data modeling, normalization, schema design, and creating stored procedures, views, and triggers Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools to move and cleanse data Ability to analyze execution plans, optimize complex queries, and manage indexing strategies for high-volume transactions Supervisory Responsibilities None Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Experience in full stack development utilizing tools such as .NET, Visual Studio 2019, Bootstrap utilizing common development languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript Experience working within and interacting with AWS Cloud Infrastructures Required Qualifications Active Top Secret Clearance Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
