Job Duties:

• Perform detailed inspection and testing of laser products to verify compliance with Build Specifications and quality standards.
• Measure and record key performance parameters, including: Optical output power Beam size, focus, and divergence Wavelength and alignment (if applicable)
• Ensure proper operation and functionality of each laser module.
• Accurately document inspection results, test data, and any non-conformances.
• Identify, segregate, and report defective or nonconforming products to Quality/Production leadership.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to provide feedback on quality issues and assist with root cause analysis when required.
• Maintain calibration and proper use of test equipment, meters, and optical measurement tools.
• Follow company quality procedures, safety guidelines, and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in optics, electronics, or a related field preferred.

Experience Requirements:

• Experience inspecting manufactured products using established quality standards and specifications.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, or inspection documents.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and document inspection results accurately.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Experience in a manufacturing or QC environment (optics, electronics, or laser systems strongly preferred).
• Familiarity with optical measurement tools and electronic test equipment (strong preference).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and procedures.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
• Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.
• Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.

Physical Capabilities:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
• Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing inspections.
• Comfortable working in a laboratory or production environment (appropriate PPE provided).
• Manual dexterity for handling small components and test equipment.
