The TE2 sees the world through the lens of a customer, both the shop owner/foreman and the front-line machine operator in order to provide superb technical support to clients, whether online, via e-mails, and/or in person. This uniquely broad perspective makes the TE2 invaluable in tooling/workholding product development for Haas.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Perform Sample Review Tests of cutting tools and workholding for form, fit, and function, and thoroughly document it.Utilize CAD software to develop 2D blue prints and/or 3D solid models of tooling and workholding.Create technical details, such as feed/speed calculators and usage guides.Analyze technical material, such as schematic diagrams or engineering drawings, and work with management personnel to develop standards for new product development.Create new part numbers and specifications of e-commerce tooling.Provide technical support for tooling and workholding to end users.Collaborate with marketing, product development, and manufacturing departments to provide product recommendations.Keep abreast of developments in the Tooling industry by expanding networks and attending events.Prepare or assist in preparing scripts for videos in support of tooling and workholding.Develop prototypes and testing of new designs.Performs excel and VBA programming tasks as needed.Carry out quality assurance tests on new designs.Provide training to junior Tooling Engineers.• Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.• Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.Qualifications To perform this job successfully the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty adequately.
