Summary- The Oracle Techno-Functional Analyst will be responsible for delivering end-to-end business solutions in the Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS) applications Costing Management space. Responsibilities include problem definition, solution designing, testing, documenting, and supporting the Costing Reconciliation solution in a complex integrated environment. The Oracle Functional Systems Analyst will be responsible for understanding the Costing reconciliation problem statement, business requirement analysis, end-to-end integrated reconciliation process design, development of functional specifications, testing, documenting, and solution aftercare across business and ERP systems. The role requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment in the evaluation of user requests/requirements, determining and implementing an optimum approach/solution, and related documentation by applying system analysis techniques and procedures. The ideal candidate will primarily work cross-functionally and globally with Costing, Inventory, Business Intelligence, Finance, and other internal IT teams. Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Using standard project management methodologies (PMP), analyze user operational requirements to design end-to-end solutions, develop functional specifications, test cases, etc.
- Functionally own support for both application and business process issues.
- Document all requests and ensure that the project management process methodology is adhered to including submission/updates to the business requirements.
- Understand, perform, and coordinate the analysis and design of business systems solutions.
- Develop and execute system testing and test plans as required as well as coordinate and conduct internal user support and training.
- Act as a liaison between the business user groups and the technical systems groups.
- Identify and document application integration requirements.
- Develop and test solutions in collaboration with end-users, execute production migration and post-install aftercare.
- Improve process flow and user documentation for Oracle ERP and enhance user knowledge and competency.
- Ensure stability and data accuracy in the Oracle Applications production instance post-release in addition to meeting customer needs in line with compliance and audit policies.
- Create and manage Oracle Support Service Requests as and when required.
- Design and manage the delivery of program specifications based on consultations with supervisor, programmers, external contractors, and end users.
- Document, propose, and optimize Oracle ERP application configuration to provide the best usability and information availability.
- Maintain consistency across functionality and processes globally. Understand the business models across global enterprises and any unique services/applications/localizations.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as requested.
- At least 6 years of hands-on techno-functional experience in working with Oracle ERP, including but not limited to – Inventory (INV), Work In Process (WIP), Costing (CST), General Ledger (GL), primarily about Costing Reconciliation within Operating Units and across multiple operating units in Oracle EBS release 12.2+.
- Deep exposure to information systems, business processes, and measures of success.
- Thorough understanding of technical and functional aspects of Oracle ERP including Application Object Library (AOL).
- Ability to engage in various levels of application technical analysis including interaction with other internal IT teams that feed data into Costing for reconciliation purposes for requirement analysis, system analysis and design, system testing and integration, implementation, and documentation required.
- Demonstrated proficiency and willingness to serve as an internal subject matter expert (SME) for Oracle Costing, General Ledger, and Inventory modules providing feasibility analysis, solution design, and new functionality implementation as required.
- Cross-train internal IT on Oracle ERP new features, functionality, and integrations.
- Proficient in writing basic to advanced SQL scripts to draw data out of Oracle ERP database for analysis and user request fulfillment.
- Proven commitment to customer care, system availability, reliability, and issue resolution. This can include off-hours engagement to resolve critical production system incidents.
- This position requires extra strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently troubleshoot as well as develop alternative solutions to problems.
