Automation Installation Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:Lead installation/deployments of BG technology on customer sites from installation to System Engineering hand-offEnsure compliance to building and safety codes by all federal, state, and/or local regulationsManage installation contractors and work to resolve deployment issuesManage BG engineers while on site that are tasked with installation effortsManage customer relationship on-site and coordinate site level tasks with local building managementWork cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to meet installation criteriaDrive feedback and improvement efforts from site to System Engineering teamsProvide support to the active project to drive progress and prevent or mitigate stoppages or downtimeResponsible for tracking and achieving project operational and budgetary metricsDevelop standardization processes and technical solutions to drive down installation time and costOversee customer training and handoff tasks to guarantee a smooth integration of BG’s technology in existing operationsPlease note that this role manages the installation and resources on site at the time, but does not have direct reports.Experience and Education:Required:BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or similar technical field5+ years of experience in construction or installation managementPreferred:8+ years of experience in construction or installation managementProject management experienceRobotics/industrial automation/manufacturing experienceQualifications and Skills:RequiredDemonstrated experience managing hardware installations and commissioning of industrial equipmentExperience leading teams of engineersExperience managing construction contractorsKnowledge and understanding of safety standardsAbility to read and understand CAD drawings, electrical schematics, or other engineering diagramsConfidence and knowledge to convey technical explanations of problems or issues identified during deploymentUnderstanding of warehouse management systems, software messaging flows, IT hardwareDemonstrated experience with customer management and supportStrong sense of urgency and leadershipExcellent communication skillsStrong computer skillsAbility to work with senior levels of management internally and externally at site levelAbility to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneouslyPreferred (one or more):High competence in at least one area: mechanical, electrical, or software systemsExperience with project management software - MS Project, Smartsheets, etc.Experience with engineering defect tracking software – JIRA, etc.Travel:Will travel be required?
