Lead Host

Bavette's Bar & Boeuf, a part of  Hogsalt , is looking for a dedicated and experienced Lead Host to join our team!

Experience & Qualifications: 

• 1+ year of hosting experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant. 
• Passion for excellence, superior service standards, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift, including frequent bending, lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs, and stooping
• Holiday Availability: Our business is open on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Availability to work on these holidays is required.
• Ongoing open availability, including Sundays.
• Ability to attend pre-opening all staff training.
• Ability to attend continuing education. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Manage the nightly reservation book in Resy and brief the full team on key details during daily pre-shift.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and ensure that service meets/exceeds expectations to ensure a memorable and pleasant dining experience.
• Accommodate special requests whenever possible, as long as doing so would not hinder the experience of other guests.
• Use and ensure other employees use guest’s names whenever possible.
• Record in the Resy database any information provided by guests to ensure a positive return visit.
• Receive and welcome guests in a respectful manner; assist with seating.
• Review all reservation notes & special occasions daily.
• Create server floorplans before service.
• Review all reservation notes & special occasions daily.
• Train new hosts via Hogsalt Training App, audit training materials as needed.
• Ensure menus and supplies are stocked.
• Inspect dining room table settings, chairs, floors, etc. to ensure proper maintenance, as well as cleanliness and safety.
• Check tables throughout service times for guest satisfaction, take immediate action to correct any guest issues.
• Maintain dress code and hygiene standards.
