Job Title: Warehouse Worker (1st Shift)

Job Description

This role supports day-to-day warehouse operations by accurately picking, packing, shipping, and receiving products while following established safety procedures. You will use scan guns and other warehouse equipment to ensure inventory accuracy, maintain an organized work area, and contribute to an efficient, fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pull parts accurately by matching part numbers, quantities, and confirming storage locations.

• Use RF scan guns to locate, pick, and track inventory and orders.

• Pack orders securely and prepare shipments according to company standards.

• Process outbound shipments, including labeling, staging, and loading as required.

• Receive inbound shipments, verify quantities and part numbers, and confirm accuracy against documentation.

• Inspect incoming materials for accuracy and report discrepancies or damages.

• Perform general warehouse duties such as stocking, organizing, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

• Handle inventory tasks including counting, replenishing, and rotating stock as needed.

• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, when authorized and trained.

• Lift and move items up to 30 pounds multiple times throughout the day in a safe manner.

• Follow all safety requirements and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

• Climb step ladders safely to access products stored at various heights.

• Perform repetitive standing, walking, bending, reaching, grasping, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and climbing as part of daily tasks.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and quality standards.

• Assist with other warehouse-related duties as assigned to support overall operations.

Essential Skills

• Experience with warehouse tasks such as packing, inventory handling, order picking, and general labor.

• Ability to accurately pick and match part numbers, quantities, and locations.

• Proficiency using RF scanners or scan guns for picking, inventory, and shipping activities.

• Basic numerical reasoning abilities to verify counts and quantities.

• Excellent communication skills, including clear written, verbal, and active listening abilities.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to keep tasks and materials in order.

• Punctuality and reliability in attendance and meeting work schedules.

• Ability to multitask and maintain situational awareness in a busy warehouse environment.

• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain accuracy and focus.

• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Capability to lift up to 30 pounds multiple times per day safely.

• Physical ability to stand for long periods and frequently walk, bend, reach, grasp, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb, push, pull, talk, and listen.

• Visual clarity that meets standard minimum acuity of 20/40 in either or both eyes, with or without corrective lenses, and standard minimum peripheral vision of 55 degrees in each eye or 85 degrees in one eye.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with packaging and order picking in a warehouse or distribution setting.

• Experience in inventory control or stock management.

• Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment, where properly trained and authorized.

• Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines consistently.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking, packing, and receiving.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a small team environment.

• Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting.

Work Environment

This position is based in a non-climate-controlled warehouse, where temperatures may vary with the seasons. You work as part of a small, close-knit team that collaborates closely to meet daily operational goals. The role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 30 pounds multiple times per day, and performing repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, grasping, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and climbing. You may need to safely climb step ladders to access products stored at different heights. RF scan guns and standard warehouse equipment, including forklifts where trained and authorized, support daily tasks. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with an expectation of practical, comfortable attire suitable for warehouse work and adherence to all safety requirements, including appropriate footwear and protective gear as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arnold, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.25 - $16.25/hr.
