Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct an array of ultrasound examinations such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient safety and comfort during procedures, clearly explaining each step with warmth
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver superior diagnostic images
• Operate and uphold the functionality of imaging equipment, making timely reports on any malfunctions
• Document procedures accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records within the electronic medical system
• Stay informed about the latest advances in sonographic imaging practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program completion is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
