Registered Nurse (RN) | Behavioral Health Adult C Unit

Location: Avera Behavioral Health Center - Sioux Falls Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays (United States of America) Pay Range: $32.50 - $48.50 per hour (actual pay rate dependent upon experience). Position Highlights This position may be eligible for a Sign On Bonus up to $15,000. Nurses with 3+ years of experience enjoy every 3rd weekend leave and every other holiday. Adult C Unit Overview The Adult C Unit is a 26‑bed, structured, therapeutic environment for adults to understand their diagnosis, develop a Crisis Response Plan, use healthy coping skills, and set and complete goals. What You Will Do Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to the health care team. Develop nursing care plans based on medical histories, patient examinations, and documentation of physical, psychological, and social factors. Teach patients and families about conditions, medications, and self‑care skills. Evaluate patient care by measuring outcomes, reviewing patient records, and modifying care plans as needed. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration protocols, and controlled‑substance regulations. Document patient care services in patient and department records. Operate and maintain patient care equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, and manage supplies. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing with an active state license in the state of practice. Upon hire. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience 1–3 years of experience working in a clinical environment.
