Communications Specialist

Compensation: $25-27 / HR

This is a well-rounded position that supports two primary workstreams: website communications and letters/email communications created in Word. The role is less focused on creating communications from scratch and more focused on updating existing materials, quality assurance, and ensuring all communications meet the client’s standards. This includes verifying that content is accurate, aligns with the appropriate templates, and is consistent with the overall communication strategy and design.

Required Qualifications

1) Experience working with Microsoft Office, particularly:

• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft PowerPoint

2) Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in detailed information.

3) Highly process-driven with the ability to follow established workflows and procedures.

4) Strong organizational and time-management skills.

5) Ability to independently manage deadlines and follow up on outstanding tasks.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience working with websites or web-based content (Katie said this piece will be taught)
• Familiarity with HTML and/or CSS
• Experience in communications production, document production, quality assurance, or a similar detail-oriented environment.
