This position may be responsible for site clean‑up, unloading, staging, and distributing work material to other employees at a job site. Position will also cut and thread pipe. May install and test fire sprinkler systems under the close guidance of a Sprinkler Fitter. Position receives guidance and direction regarding day‑to‑day work tasks from a Sprinkler Fitter. The Helper is also responsible for assisting in maintaining a clean, well‑organized vehicle and ensuring a safe environment for his/herself, co‑workers, and customers. Responsibilities: Install, test, and service fire sprinkler systems Cut and thread pipe and manage material Assist in the installation of valves, couplings, and other fittings Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment Learn construction project skills, including reading blue prints Qualifications: Basic mechanical and math skills Must exhibit the initiative to learn the skills of the trade Ability to work independently with limited supervision Successful completion of a drug test and pre‑employment background screening is required.
