Limited Permit Respiratory Student - PRN
A Brief Overview The Respiratory Care Assistant is learning and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of his/her hospital or care facility. This Assistant performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory care independently post verification of education and completed competency.
What You Will Do
- Medicated aerosol delivery
- Airway clearance therapy
- Patient monitoring (bedside spirometry, noninvasive monitors, and ECG)
- Oxygen and humidity therapy
- Special procedures (CPR, collect data, equipment setups)
Additional Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma / GED Enrolled in an accredited respiratory care program (Required)
- Work Experience: Experience in basic respiratory therapy procedures (Preferred) and Student experience (Required)
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Holder of current Ohio Limited Practice Permit (Required proficiency)
- Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
