As our Senior Electrical Engineer, you will serve as the lead electrical engineering authority today — owning the full lifecycle of electrical system design, documentation, and integration across our EV and hybrid commercial vehicle platforms. You will establish the engineering standards, tools, and processes that will define our electrical department as we grow. This role is expected to evolve into a department leadership position as the team expands.-General ResponsibilitiesConceptualize, design, and engineer high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (12V) electrical systems for commercial electric and hybrid bus platformsDevelop and maintain comprehensive electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness designs (routing, connectors, protection, and packaging), and bill of materials (BOMs) for each vehicle configuration and work orderResearch, program, and modify vehicle control modules for special use cases and platform integrationsPerform detailed electrical calculations to establish standards, specifications, and design criteriaDirect and oversee fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of electrical systems and components; own validation planning and execution including design verification test plans, test reports, and sign-off documentationIntegrate electrical systems across multiple chassis platforms, ensuring conformance to engineering design, safety, and customer specificationsResearch and evaluate new technologies, components, and assembly methods to drive innovation and cost efficiencyDocument and maintain electrical installation processes, methods, and engineering standards for use by production and service personnelResearch and analyze OEM chassis electrical systems to ensure proper module and harness integrationProvide technical support for warranty and field service; apply structured root-cause analysis (8D or equivalent) to close the loop between field failures and design or production correctionsSupport supply chain management by identifying long-lead electrical components, providing accurate BOM data, and participating in supplier technical reviews and component qualification activitiesProvide hands-on training to production and service on electrical systems, processes, and proceduresParticipate in and lead product improvement and continuous improvement initiativesOwn and manage engineering changes (ECOs/ECNs) in active production — evaluate impact, coordinate cross-functional review and approval, and ensure schematics, BOMs, harnesses, and build documentation remain aligned through each revisionDesign for serviceability — ensure schematics, connector identification, and diagnostic documentation are structured so field technicians can efficiently troubleshoot and repair without engineering escalationLay the groundwork for a scalable electrical engineering department, including process documentation, tool standardization, and future team development-Summary of ActivitiesResponsibility Key ActivitiesElectrical schematics and BOMs Read and interpret vehicle sales orders; specify integration of Endera systems into chassis electrical architectureNew product and technology research Evaluate components, materials, and assembly methods; benchmark against industry standardsProcess documentation Create and maintain electrical installation work instructions, engineering prints, and process documentsLong-lead component support Identify long-lead parts from sales orders; communicate requirements to supply chainProduction and field support Apply root cause analysis to resolve electrical issues in production and in-field vehiclesTraining Deliver on-site and off-site electrical training to production staff, service technicians, and customersContinuous improvement Lead or support cross-functional product and process improvement projectsResponsibility Key ActivitiesEngineering change management Own and drive ECOs/ECNs in active production; maintain alignment of schematics, BOMs, harnesses, and build docs through each revisionServiceability design Structure schematics, connector callouts, and diagnostic documentation so field technicians can troubleshoot without engineering escalationDepartment foundation-building Establish tools, standards, and workflows that will scale with a growing engineering teamTechnical Skills and QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience requiredNo SponsorshipExperienceMinimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in automotive, commercial vehicle, or mobile equipment applicationsDemonstrated experience with 12V automotive/vehicle electrical systems required;
