About the role:  

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Catering Manager to join the Tailwind team! As part of Tailwind, you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional food and service for events, creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. In this role, you will oversee all catering operations, ensuring high-quality food and service delivery for events ranging from corporate meetings to social gatherings. You'll collaborate with clients to determine their event requirements, manage a dedicated catering staff, and plan diverse menus in close coordination with chefs. Your main goal will be to maintain budgetary oversight, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and foster a culture of excellence, making every event a memorable one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with clients to understand event requirements and preference
• Plan and execute catering services for various events
• Develop and customize menus in collaboration with chefs
• Hire, train, and manage catering staff
• Schedule staff and assign duties for events
• Monitor budgets and control costs to ensure profitability
• Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
• Coordinate with vendors and external service providers
• Handle on-site problem solving during events
• Promote catering services and build client relationships

Qualifications/Skills:

• Ability to plan and manage budgets

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities

• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

• Proficiency in event planning and coordination

• Attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure

• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to read and process complex information quickly and accurately

• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week

• Work some weekends, evenings, and holidays

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a TSA background check to receive an airport badge
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be punctual
