Job Overview - Pediatrician
Compensation: $225,000/year + bonus
Location: Lake Charles, LA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (On-Site)


TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Pediatrician in Lake Charles, LA for our client, providing comprehensive pediatric care for newborns, children, and adolescents in an outpatient setting. This role includes preventive care, developmental assessments, acute and chronic condition management, and shared newborn rounding responsibilities. Both experienced pediatricians and graduating pediatric residents are encouraged to apply.


Responsibilities as the Pediatrician:

• Pediatric Care: Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence.
• Preventive Medicine: Conduct well-child examinations, developmental screenings, immunizations, and routine preventive care.
• Clinical Treatment: Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, chronic pediatric conditions, and minor injuries.
• Newborn Care: Participate in shared newborn nursery rounding with the pediatric provider team.
• Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and specialists to support continuity of patient care.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records using electronic medical record systems.

Qualifications for the Pediatrician:

• Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited pediatric residency program are required.
• Licensure: Current or eligible unrestricted Louisiana medical license and valid DEA registration are required.
• Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics is required, with current NRP and CPR certifications preferred.
• Experience: Pediatric clinical experience through an accredited residency program is required, with both graduating residents and experienced pediatricians considered.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of pediatric preventive care, developmental health, acute and chronic condition management, and newborn care is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and standard clinical documentation practices is required.
• Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, communication, collaboration, organization, and patient-care skills with a compassionate and family-centered approach.
