Registered Nurse - Pediatrics/Med Surg Float

About This Role The RN P/T 7PM-730AM Pediatrics/Med Surg Float position involves providing age-specific care for a designated group of patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role is ideal for nurses with pediatric experience who are looking for a flexible part-time schedule. Highlights Location: Huntington, NY Schedule: Part-Time, Night shift (7PM-7:30AM) Sign‑On Bonus: Up to $25,000 What You'll Do Assess the patient's physiologic health status through interviews and chart reviews. Evaluate gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status. Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition; adjust care plans accordingly. Communicate and document patient's physiologic health status and care plans. Assess patient's psychosocial health status and identify cultural/ethnic requirements. Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes and identify potential problems. Formulate and document the plan of care, collaborating with health team members. Implement the plan of care, ensuring safety precautions are followed. Administer medications correctly and educate patients on drug interactions. Participate in patient and family education, providing explanations and resources. Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience Documented Pediatric Experience required. Documented Adult Med/Surg Experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. BLS, ACLS, PALS required.
