Job Title: Production Assembler

Responsibilities

• Assemble and cover terminated connectors on a variety of cable assemblies, including D-sub and circular military connectors, in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
• Torque circular backshells to specified values using torque wrenches and strap wrenches, ensuring proper fit and secure connections.
• Apply Teflon tape, metal tie bands, and other securing materials to properly secure cables and assemblies.
• Apply sealants, adhesives, glues, epoxies, and injectable molding compounds into and around connectors and backshells as required by customer specifications and manufacturing instructions.
• Apply wrap-around and shrink labels to cable assemblies in precise locations based on measurement requirements, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, specification sheets, schematics, and assembly instructions to perform accurate builds.
• Use American standard (imperial) measurements accurately during assembly and inspection processes, including use of tape measures and other measuring tools.
• Perform all work in accordance with established workmanship standards, quality procedures, and production requirements.
• Assist with quality inspections to verify that assemblies meet internal standards and customer requirements, and support corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, and properly care for tools, equipment, and materials.
• Use hand and power tools, including torque wrenches, strap wrenches, cutters, and other assembly tools, safely and effectively.
• Meet or exceed productivity expectations while consistently maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Successfully complete required skills testing, quality and workmanship evaluations, and productivity assessments as part of ongoing performance reviews.
• Collaborate with team members and follow written and verbal instructions from leads, engineers, and supervisors to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Baltimore,MD.
