The Opportunity
The Kitchen Attendant will be part of Yora's founding Kitchen team, helping create the clean, organized and well-prepared environment that will support Yora Nordic Spa's first guests in November 2026. This full-time role is anticipated to start at the end of October 2026.

Guests may never see the work happening behind the kitchen doors, but they experience its impact in every meal. By keeping cookware, equipment, workspaces and supplies clean and ready, the Kitchen Attendant creates the foundation that allows the culinary team to deliver Masterful Nourishment. This is an entry-level role where reliability, teamwork and a willingness to learn matter more than previous kitchen experience.

What You Will Do

• Wash and sanitize pots, pans, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Operate commercial dishwashing and sanitation equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain clean and organized dishwashing, preparation, storage and back-of-house areas.
• Complete basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, portioning and simple ingredient preparation.
• Follow established cleaning schedules, sanitation procedures and food-safety requirements.
• Keep kitchen equipment, floors, work surfaces, storage areas and waste areas clean and orderly.
• Restock cookware, utensils, cleaning supplies and other kitchen essentials.
• Follow proper food-storage, labeling and rotation procedures when handling products.
• Remove waste and recycling safely according to established procedures.
• Use kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
• Complete assigned opening, production, cleaning and closing responsibilities accurately.
• Respond promptly when cooks require clean equipment, cookware or operational support.
• Report equipment, maintenance, food-safety and workplace-safety concerns promptly.
• Support teammates during preparation and busy service periods and participate fully in required training.

What You Bring

• No previous kitchen experience or formal culinary education is required.
• A willingness to learn basic food preparation and kitchen procedures.
• The ability to follow instructions, checklists and established procedures accurately.
• A strong commitment to cleanliness, organization and food safety.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Dependability and the ability to complete assigned responsibilities within required timelines.
• Appropriate food-safety certification or the willingness to obtain it within the required timeframe.
• The ability to safely use commercial dishwashing, sanitation and basic kitchen equipment following training.
• A positive, reliable and team-focused approach to work.

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position with shifts scheduled based on business and operational needs. The role requires flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. Additional flexibility may be required during the pre-opening and opening periods.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements
This is a physically active position performed in a fast-paced commercial kitchen. The role involves extended periods of standing and walking; frequent bending, reaching, twisting and crouching; repetitive hand and arm movements associated with dishwashing, cleaning and food preparation; pushing and pulling carts and equipment; and lifting and carrying routine cookware, dish racks, supplies, food products and waste containers. Employees work around hot water, steam, hot surfaces, commercial dishwashing and kitchen equipment, refrigeration and freezer environments, cleaning and sanitation chemicals, food allergens, noise, waste materials and wet or slippery surfaces. Appropriate food-safety procedures, equipment-safety practices, chemical-handling procedures and protective equipment must be used when required. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
