About the Position

• Assists surgeons during operative procedures by preparing sterile instruments, maintaining the sterile field, and anticipating surgical needs.
• Ensures proper handling of surgical equipment and supports patient safety throughout the procedure.
• Collaborates with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and quality patient care.
• Documents surgical activities accurately in Epic EMR and maintains compliance with OR protocols.

Requirements

• Active NBSTSA
• 1-year surgical technologist experience in acute care operating room
• Three (3) years of experience in OR
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with Cerner is preferred
• Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology or equivalent training
• American Heart Association BLS
• Certified Surgical First Assistant
