Our client is a labeling contractor specializing in engineering, manufacturing, and installing pipe markers, tags, safety signs, and other asset labeling

Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety Sign Installer / Flagger to support a temporary project in Sweeny, TX. This role will assist with installing safety signs at an industrial plant site, operating aerial lift equipment when needed, and directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic to maintain a safe work environment.

Job Description

Installer:

• Install safety signs and related materials at plant sites according to customer specifications and direction from the Project Lead
• Read and follow plot plans and location plans to determine where signs and materials should be installed. This does not require the ability to read technical P&ID drawings.

Flagger

• Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic in accordance with site safety requirements
• Monitor ground traffic and communicate with site personnel to help ensure the safe movement of equipment and workers
• Follow all company safety policies, site requirements, and applicable OSHA regulations
• Work safely at considerable heights, typically ranging from 20–80 feet
• Use hand tools and equipment such as lifts, snips, and banders as needed
• Assist with other site-related duties and projects as assigned

Skills Required

• Previous field-related, construction, installation, or traffic-control experience is a plus
• Ability to work safely at heights, including approximately 20–80 feet
• Boom lift or similar aerial lift experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to follow plot plans and location plans
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Good communication and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to stand and work for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable working in an active plant/industrial environment
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a project team

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have a valid Flagger Certification

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass a drug screen & criminal background check 
• Shift Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Pay Rate/Salary

• $21.00/hr – Flagger
• $24.00/hr. – Installer. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location
