Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health histories and tailor appropriate treatment strategies. \n
- Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience. \n
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). \n
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing interactive methods to help clients process their trauma and develop essential coping skills. \n
- Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and family members to ensure holistic patient care that addresses every aspect of a patient's well-being. \n
- Offer crisis intervention as needed, providing immediate support for individuals facing trauma-related emergencies. \n
- Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma, recovery strategies, and community resources available to foster healing. \n
- Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively. \n
- Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care practices. \n
- Stay informed about the latest research and therapeutic techniques in the field of trauma therapy to enhance the quality of patient care. \n
Your primary focus will be on individuals seeking mental health support after experiencing trauma. This demographic may include survivors of childhood abuse, domestic violence, combat veterans, and others facing the impacts of traumatic events. Your expertise will be crucial in empowering these clients to reclaim their narratives and improve their overall mental health and quality of life.
Qualifications\n- \n
- Education: A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Licensure: A valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee. \n
- Experience: At least two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling, with a focus on trauma-related disorders. \n
- Knowledge: A strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles, therapeutic interventions for trauma recovery, and resilience-building strategies. \n
- Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, characterized by compassion and a non-judgmental stance, alongside proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. \n
Ideal candidates will possess substantial expertise in trauma-focused therapies and be able to demonstrate a successful track record of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Experience managing high-stress situations with composure and effectiveness is also highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits\nThe offered salary range for this position is USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
