Supervisor Sterile ProcessingOur client, a leading health system in Garden City, KS, is seeking a Supervisor Sterile Processing to lead daily operations in decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution, ensuring seamless support for patient care.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and evaluating and directing work.Facilitate accurate and timely processing of instruments and supply delivery.Provide coaching and training to the Sterile Processing department staff regarding process and technique, compliance, and documentation.Provide ongoing performance feedback.Advise staff regarding the correction of operational errors to encourage and support best practices.Act as a liaison with various departments; anticipate the needs of the customer and assure timely completion of requests and resolve any conflicts and/or problems.Assist with compliance with all regulatory agencies, Federal, State, and hospital standards.Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and wrap or package supplies and instruments using proper techniques and procedures, and sterilize supplies and instruments using the prescribed method.Assure that sterilized supplies and instruments are correctly labeled and stored in a manner to ensure sterility and understand that all storage areas are to be in compliance with any applicable regulatory guidelines.Assist with storing sterilized items and equipment in a specified location.RequirementsHigh School Diploma/G.E.D.Certified Registered Central Services Tech or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).Upon hire, or within 1 year of hire or transfer, must obtain one of the following: CIS, CSIS, CER, CFER, CHL, CSPM, CASSPT.Two (2) years of sterile processing experience.Knowledge of all regulatory guidelines and standards of practice as it relates to AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission, and OSHA.ScheduleMainly days but varies based on department needs.Shift varies.Compensation$29.49 - $45.81/hourBenefitsMedical, prescription drug, dental, and vision plans.Life insurance.Paid time off (minimum of 14 paid time off days, including holidays annually).Tuition reimbursement.Retirement plan benefits including 401(k), 403(b), and other defined benefits offerings.
