Billing Specialist

Location: Dallas, TX 75251
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | Onsite
Pay Range: $47,840-$54,080 annually, depending on experience

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to support healthcare practices across the United States. This position will be responsible for managing medical billing claims from submission through resolution, ensuring claims are accurate, compliant, and processed efficiently.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with healthcare or dental billing, claims submission, and working rejected claims, along with strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with practices throughout the U.S. to access their systems and retrieve and work claims.
• Review coding, demographics, and claim information prior to submission.
• Collect and review referrals and pre-authorizations.
• Enter and maintain accurate claim information.
• Prepare bills and invoices and document amounts due for medical procedures and services.
• Submit electronic claims and add appropriate claim narratives.
• Track, research, and resolve claim rejections and billing discrepancies.
• Investigate insurance claims and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Research insurance policies and payer requirements.
• Communicate with clients regarding billing questions, concerns, and claim issues.
• Ensure billing activities follow company policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other applicable industry requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience managing billing claims in a healthcare, dental, or medical setting.
• Hands-on experience submitting claims and working claim rejections.
• Healthcare or dental billing experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and healthcare billing software systems.
• Strong understanding of healthcare industry policies and regulations, including HIPAA.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, practices, and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Dental or Oral Surgery billing experience.
• Experience working with multiple practices or healthcare systems.
• Familiarity with insurance policies, payer requirements, and claim resolution processes.

Compensation: $47,840-$54,080 annually, depending on experience.
