Job Opportunity

This role involves providing respiratory therapy treatments to patients across various age groups, including adults, pediatrics, and neonates. The candidate will actively participate in assessments, treatments, and the evaluation of respiratory care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, administer, and evaluate respiratory therapy treatments and pulmonary function tests.
• Perform extubations, airway management, and ventilatory life support for critical patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret arterial blood gases and respiratory treatments.
• Instruct patients on the use of respiratory therapy equipment and inhalation therapies.
• Maintain cleanliness and care of all respiratory treatment equipment.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Credentialed by the NBRC as a Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist at the time of hire.
• Two years of experience as a certified Respiratory Therapist preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory care modalities for adults, pediatrics, and neonatal patients.
• Skilled in the use of mechanical ventilators and alternative solutions.
• Ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation effectively.

Additional Abilities

• Accurately interpret arterial blood gases.
• Work independently without supervision.
• Handle adverse conditions, including exposure to communicable diseases.

Work Schedule

This position offers varied shifts, predominantly night shifts, with some day shifts as needed.
