Emergency-CL Attending Psychiatrist South Shore University Hospital – Bay Shore, New York Northwell Health’s Behavioral Health Service Line is recruiting a full‑time or part‑time BE/BC Emergency/CL Psychiatrist at South Shore University Hospital located in Bay Shore, New York. South Shore University Hospital is a rapidly expanding tertiary care hospital in the Eastern Region, recently invested 600 million, with a state‑of‑the‑art emergency department featuring a locked psychiatric wing built to CPEP specifications. About the Role ED coverage in dedicated 6‑bed Psych ED and provision of consults to medical floors. Schedule: Monday‑Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., no nights or weekends required. Part‑time positions also available (2‑3 days per week). All consults: no inpatient or outpatient responsibilities. Full‑time Psychiatric NPs and PAs. Opportunity to supervise/teach students. New Psychiatry residency program (with South Oaks Hospital) to commence 2027. A great schedule and fantastic department. Requirements Must be BC/BE and licensed in NYS. Superior computer and EHR skills; Emergency Psychiatry or CL experience preferred. Must be able to assess ED and CL patients of all ages.
