Proxy Legal Staffing & Search Group has partnered with a Pittsburgh based firm to find a legal assistant! Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced practice. The ideal candidate will have 2–7 years of prior legal assistant or legal secretary experience and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and track deadlines
Prepare, proofread, and format pleadings and legal documents
Handle e-filing in federal and state courts
Maintain case files and assist with trial preparation
Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
Support billing, expense reporting, and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
2–7 years of law firm experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
Litigation experience required
Strong knowledge of court procedures and e-filing
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word; solid Excel and PowerPoint
