Position Description: Job Title: Traveling FOH Manager
Reports To: Operations Director
Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000
The Traveling Manager is a flexible operations leader who plays a critical role across all DDP Restaurant Group locations. This position reports directly to the Operations Director and is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations, special projects, and new initiatives across the group. This role requires a deep commitment to hospitality, a solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to adapt quickly to different teams and environments.
This manager is expected to embody and represent DDPs core values while helping to maintain consistency in service, systems, and team culture across all properties.
Key Responsibilities
Represent the values and hospitality standards of DDP Restaurant Group across all properties.
Support daily operations by stepping in to cover floor management duties.
Serve as a support resource for special events and initiatives.
Contribute to cross-functional projects and emergency needs (e.g., patio setup, equipment emergencies, consulting with external restaurant partners).
Essential Functions
Primary responsibilities include and are not limited to:
Floor Management & Operational Support
Work floor shifts as acting manager during PTO, emergencies, or staffing transitions.
Support during peak service hours or in high-volume environments.
Take on short-term management coverage assignments.
Step in for last-minute shift coverage, including opening and closing duties.
Assist in onboarding new FOH staff and managers across locations.
TrainingLead and support training on core systems and expectations, including:
Service standards.
Menu and beverage knowledge.
Toast, OpenTable, and other operational systems.
Opening/closing procedures.
Team communication and hospitality culture.
Special Projects
Lead or assist with projects as assigned by the Operations Director, including:
Seasonal event execution.
Operational consulting.
Process improvements.
Equipment or facility logistics.
New Restaurant Openings
May assist with new restaurant openings, including:
Support with pre-opening planning and logistics.
Hiring, onboarding and staff training.
Ensure smooth operational setup and adhere to DDPRG procedures during launch.
