Clinical Research Coordinator (Temporary Part-Time) Position Overview: The School of Nursing at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) supports a leading national research university that offers bachelor’s, master’s, post‑master’s, DNP, and Ph.D. programs across Newark, New Brunswick, and Blackwood, NJ. Rutgers seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator (Temporary Part‑Time) to support research, recruitment, and data collection efforts within the School of Nursing. Key Responsibilities Contact potential patient participants to recruit them via remote or in‑person at the study clinic site. Conduct chart reviews in Epic, pull patient registry reports, send MyChart messages per research protocol, document in Epic, and collaborate with the clinic team on patient care. Provide problem‑solving support (counseling and coaching patients on strategies to problem‑solve) via phone. Document in the Epic electronic health record. Follow IRB policy on human subject research. Collaborate with team members and contribute to project discussions. Develop procedures for data collection, recruitment efforts, subject enrollment, subject training, and data collection; assist in data management, delivery of study intervention, and data collection. Support administrative tasks related to research projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and grant applications. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in nursing or medical assisting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. At least one year of experience in patient care. Certifications and Licenses Certification and licensure for LPN, RN, or CMA. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge and clinical experience in primary care and diabetes management support. Proficiency in MyChart and Epic and prior experience teaching patients to use MyChart. Familiarity with smartphone technology. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience/knowledge in a research setting. Experience with patients that use wearable devices such as continuous glucose monitoring.
