Eaton’s GEIS division is currently seeking a Business Unit Manager – Airport Lighting Products, GEIS. This position is onsite at our Windsor, CT facility. Relocation within the United States is provided for this role. The expected annual salary range for this role is $165,000 – $242,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do Own and execute the annual strategic growth and operating plan consistent with the results and behavior objectives of the business. Lead all business and functional support operations. Work closely with division and regional staff to deliver functional process standardization and rigorous performance metrics. Accountable for full‑profit center performance and ensure operational execution and financial performance to deliver agreed profit plan. Execute established goals for sales growth, market share, profit contribution and ROI to achieve results through leadership on new growth opportunities for the FAA (US) market and ICAO (International – non‑US) opportunities. Lead business unit operations, supply chain and logistics to assure high level of customer satisfaction with delivery, quality and services. Build high‑performance culture and organizational capability through effective hiring, placement, development, motivation and foster a customer‑centric culture. Lead strategic growth strategy through portfolio management via customer feedback, market trend understanding and competitor monitoring, ensuring effective cross‑functional coordination to execute new product innovation. Drive disciplined approach to projects and programs through integration of business tools including EBS, Value Selling, Six Sigma, Eaton Lean System and PROLaunch. Ensure a safe work environment for all employees through implementation of safety awareness programs and compliance with EHS, OSHA and similar regulatory requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum ten (10) years of professional experience in a multi‑plant manufacturing organization with at least five (5) years in leadership roles. Minimum five (5) years of Product Line Management and/or Operations experience. Eaton will not consider applicants requiring immigration sponsorship for this position. Preferred Qualifications Eight or more years of Product Line Management and/or Commercial Operations, Project Management experience, preferably with technical products. Experience with SAP. Experience with international business, global business planning and global channel development. Prior experience in product marketing, planning and sales in large capital, government projects. Experience working with government / municipal organizations on specification and large capital projects. Skills Strong operations background and direct management of operations with full profit‑center responsibilities. Proven business leader with prior interactions with senior executive team. Financial competence, familiarity with planning, forecasting, P&L and operational management. Accustomed to frequent customer interactions. Leadership with proven results in long‑selling cycle businesses. The ability to execute objectives through a cross‑functional organization. Collaborative and inclusive personal style to ensure effective resolution, determination and deployment of cross‑functional policies, tools and metrics with peers and associates.
