The Position The Firm is seeking an Associate attorney to join its Dallas and Flower Mound offices. No hourly billable hour requirements, and the position will offer a hybrid work schedule with at least 2 days scheduled in office per week. The attorney will provide legal and regulatory advice to clients on issues related to residential mortgage lending, title insurance, closing, and Post-Closing matters. The attorney will also respond to miscellaneous legal services requests, including but not limited to: legal opinion letter drafting, revocable trust reviews, customized documentation requests, quality control review of loan files and legal research/memorandums. In office requirements After a period of in-office training, this position will transition to a hybrid work schedule with at least 2 days in office per week. Travel requirements Some domestic travel may be required. Requirements and Preferred Experience Strong writing/research, problem solving, and customer service skills. Law degree from accredited law school. Admitted to practice in Texas. Top 10% of law school class is preferred. Law journal experience is preferred. 2-5 years of prior law firm experience as an attorney is preferred. Texas residential real estate or mortgage lending experience is preferred. Texas title insurance or underwriting experience is preferred. Experience with real estate/title transactions and consumer finance law is preferred: TILA, RESPA, TRID, ECOA, and FCRA in the context of mortgage transactions. Familiarity with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA guidelines. Compensation Compensation commensurate with experience.
