- Proven ability to perform Electroencephalography
- Electrodes application
- Patient history documentation
- Neurodiagnostic procedures
- Artifact elimination
Description:
Under limited supervision, prepares patients for a combination of routine neurodiagnostic procedures.
This includes Electroencephalography (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), long-term and intraoperative monitoring, among others.
Documents patient history and gathers appropriate information regarding seizure types, neurological symptoms, and medications.
Explains test procedures to patients and family members.
Accurately measures and applies electrodes following established standards.
Ensures electrode impedances meet laboratory standards.
Performs neurodiagnostic procedures according to laboratory standards.
Prepares testing supplies and equipment per established protocols.
Implements alternative methods or adjusts controls to obtain optimal recording.
Observes and begins training for various neurodiagnostic procedures under supervision.
Triages software error messages, equipment malfunctions, and other technical issues.
Assists in documentation, charge capture, patient scheduling, and check-in process.
Reviews and clips continuous EEG files according to laboratory standards.
