Interventional Radiologist Opportunity
Position Overview

A hospital-based Interventional Radiology team is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to provide full-time coverage in a busy Level I Trauma Center. The provider will join an established team consisting of Interventional Radiologists and Advanced Practice Providers, delivering a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic IR services.

Providers with availability of three or more weeks per month are highly desirable

Team Structure
3 Interventional Radiologists
2 Advanced Practice Providers
Dedicated department leadership and support staff
Clinical Responsibilities
Perform a full range of Interventional Radiology procedures
Evaluate and manage inpatient and outpatient consults
Participate in call coverage
Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical and surgical teams
Provide image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
Required Procedures
Angioplasty
Stent Placement
Embolization Procedures
Needle Biopsies
Thrombolysis
Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)
Preferred Experience
Orthopedic Interventional Procedures
Gynecologic Interventional Procedures
Urologic Interventional Procedures
Patient Population
Primarily Adult and Geriatric patients
Average procedural volume: approximately 8 cases per day
Qualifications
Board Certified in Interventional Radiology
Active Michigan Medical License
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification
Clean malpractice and license history preferred
Additional Information
Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days with expedited processing available
On-campus lodging available when needed
Ongoing coverage need with preference for providers able to commit to consistent monthly coverage
Ideal Candidate
Experienced Interventional Radiologist comfortable with a broad spectrum of IR procedures
Team-oriented physician who enjoys collaborating with APPs and multidisciplinary specialists
Comfortable practicing in a Level I Trauma environment
Available for extended coverage blocks and shared call responsibilities
