Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day or Night Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience required License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CNOR preferred Description: The position involves providing nursing care in the operating room environment. Responsibilities include managing patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Candidates must possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. On-call duty may be required, with the potential for scheduled weekend shifts. Expected patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:1. Familiarity with Epic charting system is required. Previous charge experience is preferred. Candidates should have experience with a wide variety of surgical procedures. Skills such as abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, laparoscopic procedures, and trauma care are valuable. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills. Adherence to infection control and safety protocols is essential. This role may require floating within the facility as needed. Candidates should be prepared for a diverse patient population across various age groups. References from previous employers will be requested during the compliance process.
