The Pipe Fitter/Welder plays a crucial role in project-based manufacturing environments, working primarily in crews to assemble, weld, and install piping systems according to blueprints and safety standards. This hands-on technical position requires precision and adherence to safety to ensure the integrity of all fabricated components.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and fit pipe components according to project specifications
- Perform welding tasks following required techniques and safety protocols
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards on all job sites
- Handle and manage materials effectively for fabrication and installation
- Install piping systems in manufacturing environments
- Fabricate piping components to meet project requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pipe fitting and welding
- Proficiency in various welding techniques
- Strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints
- Demonstrated commitment to safety compliance
