Engagement: Full-time (W2) Location: Houston, TX or Remote Overview Indigo Beam is seeking a Senior Project Manager experienced in running end-to-end software development projects for IT Consulting companies. You will personally lead complex, client-facing projects. This is a hands-on project management role—not a governance-only position—for someone who can run the toughest engagements themselves. You must have experience running end-to-end software development lifecycle projects, including leading requirements gathering, DevOps management, sprint management, and development teams to deliver to the agreed scope. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience from a well-established IT consulting organization serving enterprise clients in the U.S. market, preferably a Big Four or comparable top-tier consulting firm. Projects span application development, AI initiatives, modern application delivery, business process improvement, systems integration, and IT integration work supporting client M&A, including systems consolidation, data migration, and application rationalization.ResponsibilitiesPersonally lead 2–3 complex, client-facing engagements at a time from initiation through delivery, owning on-time, on-budget delivery at the margin soldRun Agile delivery hands-on using Azure DevOps: write and groom user stories, configure sprints, track velocity, manage capacity and resource allocation, and produce status and risk reportingDrive project planning, requirements gathering, business analysis, and user story development—especially during discovery and early shapingIdentify risks, remove obstacles, and keep engagements on scope, schedule, budget, and qualityLead distributed project teams spanning the U.S., Brazil, and IndiaOversee and coach 2–3 project managers running additional engagements and establish delivery standards across the portfolioCommunicate effectively with C-level stakeholders, client teams, and technical teams; escalate and resolve issues earlySupport SOW scoping, estimation, and engagement planning as neededRequirementsMust Have10+ years of professional experience, including 7+ years in IT consulting leading complex, client-facing engagementsSignificant experience working within a recognized U.S. or global consulting firm delivering technology consulting services to enterprise clients in the United StatesDemonstrated experience operating in a structured consulting environment with responsibility for client delivery, commercial commitments, executive stakeholder management, and multiple concurrent engagementsStrong application development project experienceHands-on Agile/Scrum delivery from a PM perspective, including user stories, sprint configuration, velocity tracking, capacity planning, and resource allocationExperience delivering projects within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure,.NET, and/or Power PlatformAbility to lead projects from the ground up, including discovery, requirements gathering, solution shaping, planning, and deliveryStrong business analysis skillsExperience leading distributed teams across multiple time zonesStrong executive communication and stakeholder management skillsWillingness to work hands-on in delivery details rather than operating exclusively at a governance levelBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related fieldNice to HaveExperience with a Big Four consulting firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG) or another comparable top-tier technology/management consulting organizationPrior software development experiencePMP and/or CSM (Certified Scrum Master)Experience with IT integration work supporting client M&A, including systems consolidation, data migration, and application rationalization Indigo Beam
