Job Summary: The Senior Accountant serves as a key financial partner, working closely with the Regional Controller and collaborating with regional and site leadership teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, support operational decision-making, and drive financial performance. This position is responsible for managing general ledger activities, supporting the month-end close process, performing account reconciliations, preparing financial analyses, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Job Responsibilities Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting Prepare, review, and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies Compile, analyze, and interpret financial data to support business operations and management decision-making Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and ad hoc analyses Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes Assist with consolidation and intercompany accounting activities Partner with operational and regional leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations Support annual audits and provide required documentation to external auditors Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting regulations, and corporate policies Utilize Sage 500 ERP and other financial systems to manage accounting and reporting functions Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and financial controls Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools Self-motivated with a proactive and results-oriented approach Ability to analyze financial trends and provide recommendations to support business objectives Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience required Strong experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, and account reconciliations Experience within manufacturing, industrial, recycling, logistics, or supply chain environments preferred Experience working with ERP systems required; Sage 500 experience preferred Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI experience preferred CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus EEO Statement: Liberty Tire Recycling is an equal opportunity employer.
