Certified Medical Assistant

Provide patient care during office appointments
•    Assure effective and efficient patient flow through the clinical areas of the practice
•    Personally greet patients and escort them to exam room
•    Set up room for examination or procedure
•    Obtain and document vital signs, weight and patient information as appropriate
•    Assist provider during any examination/procedure required 
•    Provide psychological support, reassurance, and understanding to all patients.  Consider emotional and physical needs of patients.

Perform medical duties as scheduled 
•    Set up and assist physician with procedures.  Monitoring ultrasound, Saline Sonograms, HSG, Egg retrieval, Embryo transfer, IPAS, Hysteroscopy and other related procedures.  
•    BP checks
•    Phlebotomy (including data entry)

Maintain required paperwork/documentation for patient care
•    Maintain log books for daily/ weekly and monthly quality assurance testing
•    Maintain forms and paperwork – consents, orders for tests, referral documents, etc
•    Adjust or requisition labwork as directed by provider.  Fax or email results.  Portal message and data entry into patient chart as needed.  

Maintain professional certification as mandated 
•    Maintain current Medical Assistant Certification
•    Knowledgeable of OSHA and HIPPA guidelines and Basic Life Support for the safety and protection of the clinic including the patients and employees
•    Any other duties as required by the practice
