Host/Hostess Position at The Inn at Stonecliffe

The Inn at Stonecliffe is seeking an energetic, experienced, and service oriented Host/Hostess to join our team! This position will run from now through late October on beautiful Mackinac Island. The ideal candidate will already have their own housing on Mackinac Island.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of restaurant personnel to provide fast and courteous service to guests
• Schedules dining reservations and arranges special services for diners
• Greets and escorts guests, provides menus
• Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness
• Collects payments from guests
• Totals receipts at end of shift
• Perform various other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Minimum of High School education
• Minimum of one (1) year in similar role preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Team player
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, etc.
• Basic mathematical skills as needed to make change and give refunds
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
