Senior QA Automation EngineerGenesis10 is currently seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC or Jacksonville, FL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role involves championing a quality-first culture by driving testing approaches, participating in design discussions, and establishing QA best practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing test plans, performing various types of testing, and building automation frameworks using tools like Python, Playwright, and Robot Framework within a complex, enterprise-scale environment.Responsibilities:Champion a quality-first culture across engineering and product teamsDrive testing approaches and influence design decisions to improve product stability and qualityParticipate in architectural and design discussions, providing input on testability and quality impactParticipate in requirements reviews, technical design sessions, backlog refinement, and sprint ceremoniesTranslate business and technical requirements into detailed test plans, test cases, and test suitesAnalyze defects to find root causes and recommend systemic improvementsProvide visibility into quality status using dashboards, metrics, and analyticsEstablish and continually refine QA best practices, standards, and guidelinesRequirements:8+ years of hands-on QA experience in enterprise-scale or high-complexity environments with at least 3 years in senior/lead QA rolesExperience developing detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on functional and technical requirementsAbility to perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing for complex web workflowsProven experience identifying defects, performing root-cause analysis, and collaborating with developers and product owners for resolutionExperience with end-to-end testing of APIs, UI components, backend services, and database transactionsHands-on experience with automation frameworks including Robot Framework, Playwright, Pytest, TestNG, etcProven experience building and maintaining automation frameworks (UI, API, backend)Deep experience with API testing, schema validation, and automated API frameworks and solid understanding of microservices, distributed systemsExcellent analytical, debugging, and communication skillsLanguages: Python, SQLAutomation Tools: Playwright, Pytest, Robot FrameworkAPI Testing: Postman, InsomniaDevOps CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub ActionsVersion Control: GitTest Management: Jira, TestRailDesired Skills:Prior experience in regulated industries such as banking or financial servicesProficiency with Python for test automationPerformance testing experience with JMeter, Gatling, Locust, or similar toolsAbility to identify performance bottlenecks and work with engineering teams to optimize system performancePay range: $50.42 - $58.42 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
