Job TitleCompliance Manager Agency Texas A&M University - Central Texas Department President's Office Proposed Minimum Salary$4,618.00 monthly Job LocationKilleen, Texas Job TypeStaff Job Description The Compliance Manager, under direction of Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, manages the Compliance department and provides oversight, leadership, and coordination regarding the University’s compliance efforts with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and related requirements, guidance and a campus culture that supports a safe and respectful academic, working, and living environment. A Presidential Proclamation issued on September 19, 2025, imposes a $100,000 fee on all new H‑1B petitions filed after September 21, 2025, and Texas A&M University–Central Texas will not pay this fee. Additionally, a moratorium issued by Governor Abbott on January 27, 2026, restricts the filing of new H‑1B petitions unless approved by the Texas Workforce Commission. Accordingly, if you will now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status this moratorium may affect our ability to employ you should you be selected as the final candidate. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leads the university’s Title IX and Civil Rights compliance efforts, including coordination of deputy and campus coordinators. Coordinate responses to the Title IX/Civil Rights complaints filed by students, faculty, staff, and third parties. Reviews and addresses Title IX/Civil Rights compliance and refines programs and procedures. Maintains knowledge of Title IX-related laws, regulations, and guidance, and coordinates the periodic review and revisions university rules and procedures. Provides leadership and coordination for training, communication, and outreach to promote university-wide awareness and compliance. Identifies patterns or systemic problems, assesses campus climate with regard to discrimination based on sex, sexual harassment, or sexual violence. Works with the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer to develop and implement compliance-related training and workshops in a variety of media. Assists the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer in conducting informal and formal compliance reviews. Works with the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer to Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops and supports corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. Acts as a liaison for internal and external customer concerns; answers questions, responds to requests and directs information to appropriate staff members as required. Maintains Institutional Compliance Office webpage and social media. Ensures achievement of department goals. Develops and implements operational strategies and provides input for annual budgets. Supervises and trains Compliance staff. Plans and directs workflow. Maintains and monitors a central record of reports, responses, and resolutions. Demonstrate effective time management skills by completing assignments within required schedules. Interact effectively with a wide variety of people in a wide variety of settings. Ability to recognize current and emerging Title IX related risk areas and brief senior management on complex and intersecting regulatory issues and the impact on programs and related resources. Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of related experience. Preferred Experience: Five years of related experience within an institution of higher education, state or federal agency, or large and complex organization in a leadership position with responsibilities in grievance processes, investigations, compliance reviews, equal opportunity compliance, sexual violence prevention, or conflict resolution. Salary: $55,416.00 Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Nights and weekends as needed. Supervision of Others: This position supervise employees. Work Location: This is not a remote position.
