Location Omaha, NE Requisition Number Staff_14419 Department Eppley Institute PCCE 50013051 Business Unit Eppley Institute Position Summary The Research Technician will assist with the regular functioning of a research laboratory in the Pancreatic Cancer Center of Excellence. The technician will be responsible for assisting other individuals in Dr. Hingorani’s lab and will perform duties as assigned by the lab. This may include: maintaining laboratory inventory and ordering needed supplies, preparing supplies for experiments, maintaining animal colonies including breeding, genotyping, and record‑keeping, performing experiments in mice and cultured cells, and analyzing research data. The Research Technician will also write animal protocols and assist with proper maintenance of animal protocols, lab safety documents, and overall compliance of regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Assist with the regular functioning of the research laboratory Maintain laboratory inventory and order needed supplies Prepare supplies for experiments Maintain animal colonies (breeding, genotyping, record‑keeping) Perform experiments in mice and cultured cells Analyze research data Write animal protocols and maintain lab safety documents Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Required Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent 1 year of experience in a research laboratory setting Knowledge of research methodology and techniques Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint Experience with animal protocols and lab safety compliance preferred Preferred Qualifications Degree in Biological Sciences Experience in a laboratory research setting Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Demonstrated ability to analyze, document, and interpret scientific and statistical data Work Schedule Full‑time regular.
