Claims Assistant

JCW Group | TEMP- Hybrid, 4-days in office | Rockwood, PA JCW is partnering with a highly respected U.S. based insurance carrier to hire a Claims Assistant to join their team on a temporary assignment, with a projected end date of January 31, 2027. This is an opportunity to join a leading carrier within the property and casualty market, specializing in commercial and specialty claims. This role will provide clerical support to a team of Claims Adjusters working across multiple specialties. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service to brokers, claimants, and insureds. Maintain data integrity by inputting data and information for new and existing claims. Responsible for seamless communication with customers and enhancing their experience. This includes answering incoming calls, processing electronic mail, preparing written correspondence, and processing outgoing mail. Communication is key. Most of your day-to-day will be spent communicating on the phone. Ensure that each claim is reviewed for payment and verify payment information. Support claims investigation and processing. This includes gathering technical information, determining coverage and adjuster assignment, and handling correspondence, filing, and check mailing. Juggle a fast-paced, detail-driven workload, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines with strong accuracy. Requirements: Basic job knowledge of service center policies, systems, and procedures, as well as an exceptional customer service focus. A high school diploma (or equivalent) and 3 years’ prior relevant work experience; or a vocational or technical education with at least one year of relevant work experience. The ability to communicate clearly on the telephone is crucial. The ability to read, speak, and write English fluently is required. The ability to read, speak, and write Spanish fluently is a plus.
