The Data Governance Manager plays a critical role in shaping and sustaining a robust data governance framework that enhances data quality, security, and accessibility across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include:

• Defining solutions and driving the data solutions
• Auditing Data Security Intelligence
• Serving as a liaison between business and technological areas to protect sensitive information
• Maintaining project charter to serve as a critical communication tool for key stakeholder buy in and set expectations
• Resolving end-to-end issues regarding Data Governance that may arise in the Enterprise
• Identifying resources needed and assigning individual responsibilities
• Managing day-to-day operational aspects of data governance, including meeting facilitation and documentation
• Effectively using processes and procedures to govern data collection, compliance, and retention
• Minimizing exposure and risk on projects, appropriately raising awareness on at-risk items
• Understanding how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
• Understanding data lifecycle management and providing guidance in meeting each cycle's requirements
• Managing data governance analysts and assigning individual responsibilities while managing overall team capacity
• Setting the path for data stewards, data users, data owners, and data custodians to achieve a successful data governance program
• Assisting in the buildout of the data governance strategy to align with overall enterprise-wide strategy
