What you'll be doing day to day Actively approach customers, identify their needs, and advise on the best solutions for their homes. Keep the area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced, and fully stocked. Ensure that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times. Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, sharing this knowledge with customers to help them make informed choices. Build furniture as needed for new product launches, commercial calendar implementation, and remodels. Prepare, produce, and maintain IKEA Food menu items; serve all IKEA Food menu items; follow procedures and guidelines for safe food handling, cleanliness, sanitation, and workplace safety. Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving. Move product to the final selling location. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide customers with a simple and efficient full‑serve hand‑out experience. Offer a smooth returns and exchange experience to customers.
