Job Description South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (SAVES) is growing, and we are excited to share opportunities for Internal Medicine residents who are ready to shape their careers in a supportive, resource‑rich environment. We offer a $50,000 sign‑on bonus for the right candidate. Resources and Support Three ultrasound technologists available Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Advanced imaging on‑site: GE 1.5T MRI, 64‑slice GE CT scanner, x‑ray and fluoroscopy. In‑house blood bank providing rapid transfusion support. Advanced therapies including Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, ventilator support, laser lithotripsy, high‑flow nasal oxygen therapy, Thromboelastography, nutritional support, and a fluoroscopy‑equipped kennel for swallowing studies. Highly skilled nursing support with RVTs and specialty coordinators for each department. Strong specialty collaboration with surgeons, oncologists, neurologist, criticalists, internists, and emergency DVMs. Responsibilities Call responsibilities shared between Critical Care and Internal Medicine – scheduled approximately every fifth weekend; $500 call‑in fee plus 25% production on cases. Work collaboratively with specialty teams for cross‑referrals and advanced diagnostics.
