Qualifications include outstanding customer service, willingness to listen to others, product knowledge or eagerness to learn on the job, ability to lift 100 lbs. without assistance, team player, clear communication with customers, peers, and management, strong organization skills and attention to detail, punctual attendance of shifts, availability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written strongly desired, and pride in a job well done.

Yard Associate responsibilities include following all written company policies, wearing a radio so that the team can communicate effectively, never avoiding customers, greeting each customer with a smile, working to understand your customer's projects and show true knowledge of our products to help them find the best solutions, engaging with customers by leading them to the products they are interested in rather than pointing in a general direction, being empathetic and respectful when hearing a customer complaint, loading lumber and yard products into customer vehicles, inspecting lumber returns and creating an accurate return slip for customers to take to the cashier, completing and turning in any necessary paperwork, helping unload deliveries and move products to correct locations, filling propane tanks, driving forklift, performing routine yard cleanup, knowing each month's ads and directing customers to specials, always being aware and notifying management if there are any security issues, attending monthly store meetings, understanding and observing all safety procedures, making recommendations to improve safety practices, actively participating in training new hires to be successful on the job, and other assigned tasks as needed.

Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, flexibility to reach and bend while performing job duties, and capability to lift 100 lbs. without assistance.
