Jr. Software Engineer

Invariant Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated entry level Software Engineer. The ideal candidate would have experience planning and developing software solutions and web applications in the support of a company’s website. 

Duties Include:

• Construct well-designed user interface elements for interacting with backend services
• Bring in everything you know about developing software, demonstrate expertise in web application development, and innovate solutions from concept to code to testing
• Develop and support web services
• Develop scripts and tools to deploy and monitor web services
• Perform server and web service system setup, administration, configuration, and automated deployments
• Collaborate with product team to define clear requirements, deliverables, and milestones for new projects
• Work with IT/DevOps staff to deploy new software releases in both production and non-production environments
• Collaborating with a broader team to define requirements and functional capabilities for deliverables
• Implementing features using the full software development lifecycle
• Supporting and developing our company website and partner website.
• Performing other duties as assigned or required

Requirements:

Candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 0-3 years’ experience in software design, development, integration and/or web development.

• Familiar with IDA Pro for binary analysis
• Excel in writing clean, robust, testable code in C/C++
• Experience with C/C++, Python, or other object-oriented programming languages 

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with some or all, of the following:

• Secret clearance preferred
• Ability to work in a Lab environment, setup and utilize test equipment and debugging tools for system analysis
• Preferred languages – Python, SQL, HTML, C#, CSS, C++, JavaScript, PHP

• Obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Work well in a small, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment with co-workers, management, and client
• Demonstrate innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills and adaptive thinking
• Work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for positions requiring a Security Clearance

Work Environment 

Office, Lab, Warehouse, and field environment.

This position is expected to be performed only in the state of Alabama.
