Housekeeper-PT 7a-3p Job Details Position Type: Part-Time Shifts Available: 7a-3p, weekends required Location: Oneonta, NY Pay Range: $16.00-$18.61/hr (based on experience, and benefit status) Position Summary The Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, and staff offices. This role is essential for infection control and ensuring a high quality of life for our residents. Primary Responsibilities Routine Cleaning: Perform daily cleaning functions such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming assigned areas. Sanitization: Clean and disinfect bathrooms, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces to maintain a healthy environment. Resident Space Maintenance: Empty trash, replenish supplies (like soap and paper towels), and assist with linen changes or laundry as needed. Safety & Compliance: Follow established safety procedures, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and posting "wet floor" signs when necessary. Observation: Identify and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment repairs to a supervisor. Resident Interaction: Interact with residents and their families in a respectful, professional, and patient manner. Qualifications Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift equipment for the duration of a shift. Communication: Ability to read and follow written or verbal instructions regarding cleaning schedules and chemical mixtures. Reliability: A dependable work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Empathy: A caring attitude and patience when working around elderly residents.
